The community at Frank’s Place in my experience is second to none.  It has impacted my sobriety positively in several ways.  The sense of true care I get from the staff is genuine and unparalleled.  I feel like Eric and the house manager really care about my sobriety and me staying on the right path.  I feel that support is always there when I need it, and not just from staff, but from the community that has been created and fostered via the people who live here.  I've been to other Sober Living environments, and I can positively say Frank’s Place has been the safest, most supportive of them all!

When I first arrived at Frank’s Place, I was a little nervous, as it was my first time ever being in a halfway house. However, Frank and Eric were incredibly kind and welcoming, which put me at ease. The houses I lived in were not only extremely nice but also created an environment where I felt supported in continuing my recovery journey.

Knowing that Frank and Eric were deeply committed to the program helped me stay focused and motivated to strengthen my own program. My time at Frank’s Place significantly deepened my commitment to recovery, as the support and encouragement I received helped me reach new levels of growth. It prepared me to take on the next chapter of my life with confidence and determination.

The sense of community was outstanding. We came together during difficult times, celebrated milestones, and genuinely supported each other like a family. For someone like me, who didn’t have a strong family connection, Frank’s Place provided the foundation for building true friendships and a chosen family.

The staff, especially Eric, played a crucial role in my sobriety. Eric not only inspired me to strive for more but also became a mentor who guided me through challenging moments. Whether we were having serious conversations or sharing laughs, he was always there. His impact on my life is something I will never forget.

It has been an honor and a privilege to live at Frank’s Place, and I will always hold this experience close to my heart. If Frank’s Place ever needs me, I would help without hesitation. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me change my life and guiding me through my sobriety journey.

When I arrived at Frank’s Place 22 months ago, fresh out of treatment, I was picked up by the Housing Director, Eric. Naturally, I had some fear of the unknown, but within hours of being there, I felt I was exactly where I needed to be. The rules and procedures were explained to me, and then I was taken to the store for groceries (and, of course, cigarettes). Eric made sure all my needs were taken care of before bringing me back to what I would call home.

Having come from my own apartment, it was initially difficult to adjust to having roommates. But soon, I realized I was living with a handful of gentlemen who were in the same boat as I was. The criteria were simple: remain clean and sober, attend three meetings a week, get a sponsor, and join a home group — all of which I did. At times, Frank’s staff even helped with transportation since I didn’t have a vehicle.

Without a doubt, Frank’s Place gave me the opportunity to better my life and work on the real problem: me. While living there, I learned that my sobriety was my responsibility. Weekly meetings helped hold me accountable. Today, I feel my life is 100 times better because of the care and support I received at Frank’s Place.

Having been here for over 22 months, I’ve had the chance to apply the steps in my life and make amends to those I harmed because of my disease. I’m now in the process of looking for an apartment to take my next step. I truly believe that my life is what it is today because of the opportunity given to me by Frank J., Eric, and Brian at Frank’s Place. I will be forever grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Frank’s Place to anyone who is serious about changing their life.
